Producing our own and consuming our own.
I enjoy watching American shows especially their drama, sitcoms, and being upcoming foodie their cooking shows but the purpose of writing this is not to declare my admiration for these shows but how they use their shows to market their brands e.g. when someone is driving in these shows it has to be an American car.
In Africa we are not far of we are trying in the Nigerian movies where they sale mostly their fashion but our performing arts need not just the sell the fashion but aspects of the African culture that we would like to keep.

This is definitely a step towards the right direction having countries support each other's trade and products.
In the former days I used to hear that it is easier for a Kenyan to brand his or her product made in some other country apart from Kenya, but of late Kenyans have started to appreciate their own products especially in the Fashion industry hoping that it will catch up in the other industries.
It is time we start buying and marketing Africa
